A Ruther Glen man faces charges after the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover operation.
The Sheriff’s Office tells us that Jeron Morris of Ruther Glen was arrested during a traffic stop.   At the time of his arrest, Morris was wanted by the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office for three counts of distribution of schedule II drugs. Following his arrest, narcotics investigators and deputies served two search warrants at homes connected to Morris in Caroline County.
A 9mm handgun, digital weight scales, an electronic money counter, and approximately $8400.00 worth of suspected cocaine were found during the search warrants. In addition to the original three charges of distribution of schedule II drugs, Morris is now also charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possessing a firearm while possessing cocaine, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Morris is being held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail, without bond.
Sheriff Scott Moser said“The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office remains vigilant in our efforts to stop illegal drug distribution in Caroline County. Thank you to the citizens who continue to provide information and assist the CCCSO, and thank you to the dedicated men and women of the CCSO for their dedication to the safety of Caroline County. Together, we can save lives.”
