Fauquier County Animal Control officers are investigating after six puppies were found abandoned inside a yellow-taped shoebox along a walking path near the railroad tracks in Bealeton on Saturday. The puppies were discovered by a passerby and turned over to authorities.
They are now receiving medical foster care through the Fauquier SPCA, which is working to save their lives. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the owner or the origin of the puppies to contact them at 540-347-3300.
