Stafford County Agricultural and Homemaking Fair
October 17 – 19, 2014. Gates open 5 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
2135 Mountainview Rd., Stafford
Music, hay rides, pumpkin patch, pony and camel rides, petting zoo, antique cars and tractors, food and entertainment. Free parking and admission.
Carnival ride ticket: $20 per person to ride all rides all day.

Belvedere Plantation Fall Festival 2014
October 17 – 19; 24 – 28; 31 – November 2.
1410 Belvedere Dr., Fredericksburg
Maize maze, pumpkin patch, zip lines, Pumpkin Mountain Slide, pedal carts, pony rides and more.

Wicked Woods Haunted Forest 2014

Returning for its eighth year with all new “disturbing scenes of horror.”
$23 per person

Ron Rosner Creepy Crawley Festival
7 – 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18.

Carnival games, face painting, moon bounce, hayride, haunted house, all in a safe environment. Dress in your favorite costume.

Wings & Wheels Festival

Fall Foliage Railroad Ride
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 25.
Rappahannock Railroad Museum, 11700 Main St., Fredericksburg
Fall foliage train ride excursion aboard restored, open-air maintenance vehicles used by the C&O and B&O railroads in the mid 1900’s. Rides will be conducted on a first come, first served basis. Tour the museum. Free, but donations are accepted for restoration and operations costs.

Adventure Course Grand Opening
3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18
Wilderness Presidential Resorts, 9220 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania
$10 one lap, $15 two laps.

Haunted Trail
7 – 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18
Wilderness Presidential Resorts, 9220 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania
Recommended for ages 10 and up. $5.
For those less willing to tempt fate on the haunted trail, meet at the Rec Pavilion for a bonfire, marshmallow roast, hot chocolate & apple cider, games and a kids’ hay maze.

Water Street Studio, Writing and Arts First Anniversary Celebration
