City Council Cancels Work Session, Shortens Agenda

Fredericksburg City Council has cancelled its work session for May 13 and abbreviated its regular session agenda due to the death of Mayor Mary Katherine Greenlaw’s husband.

Wilson Hunter Greenlaw died May 9.  He was 74.

Vice Mayor Brad Ellis will preside over Tuesday’s regular session meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 715 Princess Anne St.

The revised agenda will include four public hearings.  They are:

A. Granting Celebrate VA South, LLC a Special Use Permit for an 80-Bed Assisted Living Facility on a 2.25 Acre Parcel and a 1.17 Portion of a Parcel Located on the West Side of the 3000 Block of Gordon W. Shelton Boulevard, in the Planned Development-Commercial (PDC) Zoning District (6a Memory Care Facility.pdf)

B. Granting Braehead Properties, LLC, a Special Use Permit for Agritourism on a 27.9 Acre Parcel, Known as Braehead Farm, Located at 1130 Tyler Street, in the General Industrial (I-2) Zoning District (6b Braehead Farms.pdf)
