Crystal Wellman of Crystal Clear Acne Clinic and Dr. Nimali Fernando of The Doctor Yum Project are presenting a September 17 seminar about healthy eating for healthy skin.
The class will be held from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at The Doctor Yum Project office, 10482 Georgetown Dr., Suite B, in Spotsylvania.
“A healthy lifestyle directly correlates to healthy skin and fewer acne breakouts,” said Wellman, a Master Aesthetician and founder of Crystal Clear Acne Clinic and Ladyburg Modern Skincare and Apothecary. “It’s important to know which foods are good for your skin, and which can cause inflammatory breakouts.”
“When thinking of ways to inspire people to eat in a more healthy way, we realized clearing acne is a motivating reason,” said pediatrician Dr. Fernando. “I have personally discovered a clearer complexion with simple dietary changes. I’m confident others looking for acne solutions could have similar results.”
The $35 registration fee for Wednesday’s class includes a full-size acne safe cleanser and moisturizer, compliments of Crystal Clear Acne Clinic, and healthy and delicious snack recipes.

“Through our class, we hope people will find that dietary changes inspire new habits leading to healthy skin and overall wellness,” Dr. Fernando said.
Pediatrician Nimali Fernando MD, MPH started The Doctor Yum Project in 2011 to teach her patients and their families about the benefits of healthy eating.
