The STEM Summit will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday in UMW’s Anderson Center.
More than 40 area secondary schools, UMW, Germanna Community College and the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, will provide STEM-related information booths and technology demonstrations throughout the day.
Cummings will speak at noon. She is director of the Humans and Autonomy Lab, associate professor of mechanical engineering and materials science at Duke University, and a leading authority on drone technologies and human-machine collaboration.
