Toys For Tots Roundup Party

by | Dec 13, 2014 | Non-Profits

Jan and David Snow’s ninth annual Toys For Tots Roundup party will be at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds events building, 2400 Airport Ave., on Saturday, Dec. 13. There is no cost to attend this year’s hoedown party. Instead, the Snows request that each guest bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to Toys For Toys.

The entertainment begins at 7 p.m. with D.J. Eric Herod, followed by a rotation performance from local solo musician Shannon Peterson, the band Cool Breeze and the one and only Elvis.

If you’re not able to attend, watch the online live stream from 8 to 10 p.m. at OddBox TV. The live stream, hosted by Oddbox, Fredericksburg.Today and Reacht, will include interviews with event VIPs.

Various local restaurants will cater the party, and a cash bar will be available. Space is limited. To be added to the guest list, email Jan Snow at [email protected].

The Snows anticipate the largest roundup of toys since their first party in December 2006. Community members who cannot attend the party may donate a new unwrapped toy to any of the drop off locations listed below. You can also make a monetary donation at http://www.gofundme.com/snowstoysfortots

Toys for Tots
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
