by | Dec 13, 2014 | Around Town

The Fredericksburg Area Veterans Council is hosting a Memorial Day ceremony from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2014.

This year’s theme is “Honoring the Fallen Through Our Actions.”

Bruce Landsberg, president of the Coalition to End Veteran Suicide, is the scheduled keynote speaker.  The program will also include remarks by Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1) and a fly over by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1099 Fredericksburg.

There will be a moment of silence to coincide with the 3 p.m. national Memorial Day Moment of Silence.

The ceremony will be held at the Fredericksburg Area War Memorial Park, at the confluence of George, Barton and Liberty Streets.
