MWHC Offers Free Support Groups

Mary Washington Healthcare hosts many free support groups, where members of the community dealing with chronic illnesses as patients or caregivers can share their experiences and learn about other community resources and new developments in treatment. Stroke Support Group
First Mondays, 6:30 – 8 p.m.
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center, 300 Park Hill Dr. (22401)

Aphasia Support Group
First and Third Tuesdays, 11 a.m. – Noon
MWH Tompkins-Martin Medical Plaza
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation hosts this free group for those with language impairment due to stroke or head injury, caregivers, families, and friends. No registration needed. Questions? Call Jerry Bradley at 540.741.1416.

Crohns & Colitis Support Group
Second Tuesdays, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
MWH 1 West-B Conference Room

Noon Breast Cancer Support Group
Third Tuesdays, Noon

Ostomy Connections Support Group
Third Tuesdays, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
MWH Tompkins-Martin Medical Plaza
A monthly professionally-led group for those who have or will have a colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy or J-Pouch; families and caregivers welcome. No registration needed. Questions? Call Health Link at 540.741.1404.

Caregivers: Share the Journey
Second and Fourth Wednesdays, 11 a.m. – Noon
Mary Washington Home Health & Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Pkw. (22407)
