Januray Ribbon Cuttings in Downtown Fredericksburg

The Fredericksburg Main Street Initiative announced three ribbon cuttings in January 2015.

Latitudes Fair Trade, the cultural gifts store at 806 Caroline St., will celebrate its recent opening with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 12. The store is owned by Lee and Terry Owsley, who also own Latitudes Fair Trade in Warrenton. Both stores are members of the Fair Trade Federation, which supports farmers and artisans in developing countries.

Jose Gonzales and his family, owners of Soup & Taco at 813 Caroline St., will mark the recent openings of two new restaurants with ribbon cuttings on Thursday, Jan. 15. The first will be at 10 a.m. at Eight-O-Six Bistro, 806 William St. The second will be at 10:45 a.m. at La Rosetta Ristorante, the international cuisine-themed restaurant the family moved from Stafford County to the historic house at 623 Caroline St.

The Fredericksburg Main Street Initiative’s purpose is to preserve, enhance and promote FrederĀ­icksburg’s traditional commercial downtown.
