1st Sgt. D.T. Diggs of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Department and Capt. William R. Tydings of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office won the Fredericksburg Parent & Family magazine Lip Sync Battle at Spotsylvania Towne Centre on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015. Diggs performance of Beyonce Knowles’ “Put A Ring On It” was so stunning, he was brought back for an encore.
In the competition, which was part of the FredParent Back-to-School Expo, two contestants went head-to-head, taking turns performing about 30 seconds each of two different songs.
Diggs and Tydings competed against 1st Sgt. David Sullivan of the Fredericksburg Sheriff’s Office and Susan Larson, publisher of Fredericksburg Today, respectively.
