Jake & Mike’s, the restaurant at 806 William St., has closed.
Owner Keith Jones posted the news on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
“To all of our friends that have frequented Jake & Mike’s over the past 18 months I want to let you know it has been a pleasure to meet and get to know you. Many of you are regulars to our restaurant and I appreciate your patronage.
“Unfortunately I was diagnosed with Leukemia this spring and have been struggling with working a full time job in Richmond, running Jake & Mike’s and receiving treatments for my illness. Over the next few weeks I will be discussing with my family what the best option is for me going forward. During this time Jake & Mike’s will not be open for business. I will keep you updated on if and when Jake & Mike’s will reopen. Thank you again for visiting Jake & Mike’s it has been a pleasure serving you.” -Keith Jones
Keith and his wife purchased the restaurant in February 2013 from the previous owner.
