The judged show will feature cash prizes for Best In Show in the following categories:
• Oils
• Pastels
• Watercolors – Includes acrylics and gouache used as watercolor
• Acrylics – Includes acrylics used as oils
• Drawing – Includes pencil, ink, sumi, charcoal, crayon
• Photography – Includes film and digital photography
• Digital Art – Original images created using computer with use of painting & drawing tools and layers
• 3-D Sculpture – Includes clay, ceramic, wood, metal, stone
• Mixed Media – Combining more than one medium. No computer generated artwork
• Novice – Beginning artists with two years or less of art experience
Complete rules and entry forms are available online. The entry deadline is February 6 or when the show reaches a maximum number of entries, whichever comes first, said Tiffany Capehart, Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation special event & marketing coordinator.
