James Monroe High School Drama Department Spring Show
Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, at 7 p.m.
Sunday, May 10, at 2 p.m.
James Monroe High School auditorium, 2300 Washington Ave., Fredericksburg
A collection of scenes written by, directed by and starring JMHS students.
Pay-What-You-Want at the door.

Opening Weekend of the Virginia Renaissance Faire
Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Lake Anna Winery, 5621 Courthouse Rd., Spotsylvania
$10 for ages 6 and up. Five and under are free.

Stafford Crime Solvers Annual Spring Community Yard Sale
Saturday, May 9, 2015, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
County Administration Center parking lot at 1300 Courthouse Rd., Stafford.
The money raised renting spaces to vendors directly benefits Stafford Crime Solvers.
Free admission.

Youth Fishing Tournament
Saturday, May 9, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Anna Point Marina, 13721 Anna Point Lane, Mineral
Three Age Divisions: 3-9; 10-12; 13-17. Prizes awarded. Anglers can fish from the shore at Anna Point Marina or from a boat. Contact Chris Craft or Dave Fauntleroy at 540-895-5900 ext. 5.
$10 per angler.

Traditional Trades Fair at Stratford Hall
Saturday, May 9, 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Stratford Hall, 483 Great House Rd., Stratford Hall, Va.
Demonstrations, presentations, house tour, scavenger hunt , children’s activities, refreshments.
Adults $12; children $7

Piedmont Horse and Dog Expo
Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises, 10220 James Monroe Hwy., Culpeper
There will be educational exhibits, vendors, giveaways, and demonstrations by noted horse and dog experts.
Admission is $5. Children 12 and under are free.
Uninvited dogs and horses are not allowed.

Fredericksburg BBQ Jamboree
Saturday, May 9, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Fredericksburg Fairgrounds, 2400 Airport Ave., Fredericksburg
$20, $10 age 4 – 20, 3 and under free.

Family Day at the National Museum of the Marine Corps
Saturday, May 9, 12 – 3 p.m.
National Museum of the Marine Corps, 18900 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Triangle
Learn how the Marines of WWI earned the famous nickname of Devil Dogs. Fun hands-on activities and crafts will focus on Marines in WWI.
Free admission, free parking.

Rappahannock Choral Society: “World War II – Remembering The Home Front”
Saturday, May 9, 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 10, 3 p.m.
Chancellor High School, 6300 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg
Admission is $8, seniors 60+ $5, and students and children free.

Mother’s Day Wildflower Walk
Sunday, May 10, 2 – 3 p.m.
Lake Anna State Park, 6800 Lawyers Rd., Spotsylvania
A volunteer will lead park visitors on a Wildflower Walk from the Visitor’s Center around the Old Pond loop trail to show off spring’s glorious arrival.
Park entrance fee of $5 dollars per car. The walk is free.
