The Fredericksburg Climate, Environment and Readiness (CLEAR) Plan executive group with Marstel-Day LLP is sponsoring a follow-up meeting for Solarize, the organization working with homeowners and businesses to bring low-cost solar energy to the region.

“We have been working with the nonprofit Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) to set up a website so that those who are interested and would like to move forward can begin “signing-up” during this soft launch period,” said Richard Finkelstein, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Mary Washington.

The second informational meeting will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at Marstel-Day, 513 Prince Edward St., Fredericksburg. LEAP Executive Director Andrew Grigsby will present information and an installer will answer technical questions. Advance registration is available at Eventbrite Solarize.

“This is a community driven initiative, and we hope people will continue sharing the word with friends and neighbors,” Finkelstein said.
