The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and Spotsylvania County will jointly hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, to share recommendations for the Route 3 corridor from Gordon Road to the Orange County line. The meeting will be held Chancellor Ruritan Club, 5994 Plank Rd. in Fredericksburg.
Spotsylvania County and VDOT are studying this travel corridor to identify ways to optimize traffic flow, minimize delays, and improve safety.
“The study team has analyzed existing conditions and estimated future land use and traffic,” VDOT said. “Public comment is sought to ensure the findings are consistent with the experiences of drivers traveling in the study area.” A previous public meeting in July 2015 solicited public comment on the study’s initial findings.
A presentation will be delivered at 7 p.m. Spotsylvania County and VDOT staff will be available to answer questions and accept comments.
The inclement weather date is Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016.
