Downtown Fredericksburg Snow Removal Begins Sunday

The City of Fredericksburg will begin removing snow from downtown Fredericksburg at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016.

“We strongly encouraged everyone to relocate their car to areas outside the snow removal area so the removal effort can be successful,” said the Fredericksburg Department of Economic Development & Tourism in a Facebook post. Cars should be moved by 3 p.m. Sunday.

A contractor will be remove snow from the streets and parking lanes in the:
– 500-1000 blocks of Caroline Street (Lafayette to Amelia)
– 500-1000 blocks of Princess Anne Street (Amelia to Lafayette)
– 100 & 200 blocks of Wolfe, Charlotte, Hanover, George and Amelia Streets (Sophia to Princess Anne)
– 100-400 blocks of William Street (Sophia to Prince Edward)
