Crews Hired to Haul Snow from Downtown Fredericksburg Streets

The City of Fredericksburg contracted for snow removal from the downtown shopping district. Crews began hauling snow at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, and will continue beginning at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25.

Streets and parking lanes are being cleared in these blocks:
– 500 – 1000 blocks of Caroline Street (Lafayette to Amelia)
– 500 – 1000 blocks of Princess Anne Street (Amelia to Lafayette)
– 100 & 200 blocks of Wolfe, Charlotte, Hanover, George and Amelia Streets (Sophia to Princess Anne)
– 100 – 400 blocks of William Street (Sophia to Prince Edward)

City of Fredericksburg offices are closed Monday, and there is no FRED bus service.

Downtown businesses may be open, as owners decide. Call ahead to make sure.
