Lyra Grace opened Lyra Art Gallery as an open art gallery that encourages individuals of all ages and backgrounds to share their artwork. The official grand opening and ribbon cutting is scheduled 3:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 10.

The DHL, FedX and U.S. Postal approved center provides shipping, copying, printing, and faxing services; moving supplies; notary services.

Refurbished Furniture and Home Décor
206 George Street
Debra and Jason Zitzelberger refurbish and sell furniture, décor and other items from a variety of eras including Vintage, Mid-Century, Rustic and Modern. Their hallmark pieces are made from recycled wood pallets.

Spencer Devon Brewing
106 George Street
Shawn and Lisa Phillips said they’re dedicated to bring the highest quality craft beer dining experience to the Fredericksburg region.

Vicarious Clothing
1011 Caroline Street (This is the former location of When Pigs Fly. That business has moved to 1911 Dixon Street.)
Ian and Heather Vibbert have been selling online for five years, and launched a brick-and-mortar location in April 2015 for their quirky and patriotic T-shirts for children and adults.

Free Bird Studios has moved from 709 Caroline Street to 900 Caroline Street — the former location of Lord & Lilly’s.

Downtown Business Closings

The Griffin Bookshop and Coffee Bar, 204 William Street, closed its doors for good on June 29, 2015. Owner Eileen Boyd, who’s been running the shop for eight years, is retiring and moving to Florida.

The owner of Valor Art & Frame has retired, closing his store at 718 Caroline Street. Inventory is available online.
