Gladys H. Oberle School Employment Resources Inc. Hires New President
Former Quantico Marine Corps Base Chief of Staff Roarke L. Anderson has been named president of Employment Resources Inc, Gladys H. Oberle School. Anderson served as chief of staff at Quantico from 2011 – 14, retiring with the rank of colonel. His new duties include managing a staff of 39 employees while overseeing the entire operations of ERI’s employment training and educational programs and services. The Oberle School, founded in 1991 as the region’s first alternative, special education day school, helps eligible middle and high school students pursue career goals while completing high school and post-secondary education or training.

Beltone Audiology & Hearing Aid Center Plans Eagle Village Location
Beltone Audiology & Hearing Aid Center plans to open a location in the first-floor retail space of the Hyatt Place in Eagle Village. The new Fredericksburg location will join more than 1,500 Beltone centers nationwide. The UMW Foundation, owner and manager of Eagle Village, was represented by Jim Ashby and Virgil Nelson of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer in the lease transaction.

North Star Therapy, LLC Purchases Office Condominium in Spotsylvania
North Star Therapy, LLC, purchased a 1,400 square foot office condominium located within Waverly Professional Office Park at 3516 Plank Rd. in Spotsylvania from Adasan Enterprises, Inc. for $192,500. They plan to use the space as a medical office. Virgil G. Nelson, CCIM of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the seller.

Crystal R. Morris Joins Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer Fredericksburg
Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s Property Services Group has hired Crystal R. Morris, as a portfolio manager in their Fredericksburg office. Morris has more than seven years of real estate experience, most recently with the Fox Rest Apartments in Richmond.

Mary Washington Hospital Designated a Blue Distinction Center+
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield designated Mary Washington Hospital as a Blue Distinction Center+ in the areas of cardiac care and knee and hip replacements. Blue Distinction Centers are nationally designated healthcare facilities shown to deliver improved patient safety and better health outcomes, based on objective measures that were developed with input from the medical community. A Blue Distinction Center+ denotes that Mary Washington also delivers care more efficiently and cost-effectively than other similar healthcare facilities.

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center Names New CEO
Michael Clark has been named CEO of Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, effective June 1, 2016. Clark has more more than 30 years of hospital and health care leadership experience, most recently as president of LifePoint Health’s American Division, overseeing a 14-hospital system. He also has served as CEO of Georgetown Community Hospital and Logan Memorial Hospital.
