Chamber Announces Smarter Business Seminar Series

The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is introducing a new five-month seminar series titled “Smarter Business.”

The “Smarter Business” seminars, designed to help businesses of all types and sizes, will focus on a wide variety of topics and business best practices. Between July and November, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about emergency preparedness, professional productivity, customer service, employer/employee benefits, employment law, website enhancement, social media and employee engagement.

Morning and afternoon seminars each consist of two sessions and are led by area business professionals. Individual seminars are $50 each or a series pass is available for $400. First Seminar in the Series
The series begins Thursday, July 21, 2016, with “Is Your Workplace Prepared for an Active Shooter?”

Co-presenters Dave Corderman, Ph.D., and Nick Nicholson, PhD, both with Academy Leadership Associates, will train participants how to recognize traits of violent behavioral “red flags;” best ways to react in a hostile situation; and practical defense instruction and critique. The morning seminar is from 8 – 11 a.m. at SimVentions, 100 Riverside Pkwy #123, Fredericksburg. The cost is $50 per person and includes breakfast.
