“If there is light rain or a window of clear skies, then the fireworks show will go on,” said Shannon E. Howell, Stafford County public information officer.
“If there is lightening or a torrential downpour, then our priority will be to keep our visitors safe and get them to their cars as soon as possible. We will ask them to stay in their cars until it is safe.”
There is no rain date, if the show has to be cancelled, Howell said.
John Lee Pratt Memorial Park at 120 River Rd. in Fredericksburg, will open at 4:30 p.m. for July Fourth festivities. Admission is free.
Guests may bring lawn chairs and picnic dinners. Food vendors will be available. Alcoholic beverages, sparklers and grills are not allowed. Tents are not allowed in the concert area. Dogs must be on leashes.

Fireworks, which are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m., may be viewed from Pratt Park, or Old Mill Park at 2410 Caroline St., Fredericksburg.
