Looking to trace your family roots to the Civil War—or learn more about a relative who fought for the Blue or Gray? Let a National Park Service historian show you how.

National Park Service Historian Beth Parnicza will lead a Civil War genealogy workshop at the Headquarters Library, 1201 Caroline St., from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24; and at the Salem Church Branch, 2607 Salem Church Rd., from 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Both sessions are free.

Drop in anytime, and visit the various stations set up to guide your research. These workshops are part of the National Park Service’s Find Your Park initiative, celebrating their centennial.

Central Rappahannock Regional Library is also offering Genealogy 101 classes, group introductions on how to start your family research, at each of our branches beginning July 13. Contact your nearest branch for more information.
