All About the Garage custom garage solutions is moving from the General Washington Executive Center to 1623 Princess Anne St. in downtown Fredericksburg. Owner Steve Wood opened the business in 2015.

Care Advantage Opens Local Office
Care Advantage has opened a local office at 10653 Spotsylvania Ave. in Fredericksburg. Care Advantage provides companion care to skilled nursing in the comfort of one’s own home, along with one-on-one care in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and more. The company, founded in 1988 by Debbie Johnston, RN, has 12 offices in Virginia. Care Advantage is hosting a ribbon cutting, open and job fair from 4 – 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25.

Davis Defense Group Awarded Multi-Million Federal Contract
Stafford based Davis Defense Group has been awarded a five-year contract to provide educational services to support the Marine Corps University’s College of Distance Education and Training at Quantico. The contract is valued at $95 million, if all options are exercised. Davis Defense Group had been providing support to the college since 2013.

Apple Door Systems Holds Grand Reopening
Apple Door System of Fredericksburg will hold a grand reopening open house at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at the newly renovated showroom at 4727 Jefferson Davis Hwy. The company specializes in garage doors, door maintenance, and doors for residential and commercial properties. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Richmond, Apple Door also has independently owned locations in Chesapeake, Waynesboro, and Williamsburg.

Rappahannock-Fredericksburg Rotary Club Celebrates 30 Years
The Rappahannock-Fredericksburg Rotary Club celebrated their 30 year anniversary in July. The club meets at 7:15 a.m. Wednesdays at
Fredericksburg Baptist Church, 1019 Princess Anne St. (use 1016 Caroline St entrance). “Members share a passion for community service and friendship,” the group said.
