Fredericksburg Main Street and Fredericksburg Department of Public Works are sponsoring a scavenger hunt in downtown Fredericksburg, giving participants the opportunity to win a gift card to downtown businesses.
Cutouts of Founding Fathers George Washington and James Monroe will be in and outside the downtown businesses of Caroline Street. “Your job is to find them,” said Ann Glave, Fredericksburg Main Street executive director. Once you do, complete the card that’s with them, and leave it in the adjacent box.
One winner will be announced each week on Monday, on the Caroline Street Waterline Project Facebook page. Look for the hashtag #FindGeorgeandJames
“It’s a way to encourage people to visit downtown businesses, even while the Caroline Street Waterline improvement project is underway,” Glave said.
