Call for Entries: Uniquely Spotsylvania Art Show

The Central Rappahannock Regional Library is inviting artists to submit their work for for the Uniquely Spotsylvania art show. The show is open to the public September 1 – October 31, at Salem Church Branch, 2607 Salem Church Rd. An opening reception will be held 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept 9.

Entries will be accepted 2 – 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at Salem Church Branch. All artists ages 18 and up are invited to enter. Artistic works must be inspired by the Spotsylvania experience — scenes, sites, and people. Entries must be original and completed in the last five years. No repeat entries.

Entries will be accepted for the following categories:
– Painting (acrylic, oil, watercolor)
– Drawing/Printmaking (charcoal, pastel, pen & ink, pencil)
– Photography
– Computer-generated art
– Mixed Media (three-dimensional works not accepted)

The entry fee is $25 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece.

First place ($500), second place ($250), third place ($175), and honorable mention ($100) prizes will be awarded in each category (Painting, Drawing/Printmaking, Photography, Computer Generated Art, Mixed Media) One Best in Show ($1,000) prize will be given.
