Partlow Insurance to Open Local Office in Westpark Corporate Center
Partlow Properties, LLC has purchased a 1,887-square-foot office condo from Westpark LLC for $282,300 to serve as the local office for Partlow Insurance. The condo is located within Westpark Corporate Center at 927 Maple Grove Dr. in Fredericksburg. Wilson H. Greenlaw, CCIM of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the seller, and Jamie A. Scully, CCIM and Brian S. Barasha, also with Thalhimer, represented the buyer.

The Battlefield Country Store Opens in Spotsylvania
The Battlefield Country Store has opened at 6150 Plank Rd. (Route 3) in Spotsylvania. This is a second location for Alvin Esh, who also owns The Ole Country Store & Bakery on Rt. 29 south of Culpeper.

Fredericksburg Orthopedic Associates Sells Fall Hill Avenue Headquarters
Fredericksburg Orthopedic Associates sold their 14,900-square-foot headquarters building situated on 2.97 acres at 3310 Fall Hill Ave. for $4,475 million to an investment group based out of Northern Virginia. Jamie A. Scully, CCIM and Brian Barasha of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the seller.

Ziff Properties, Inc. Acquires The Shops at Salem Fields
Ziff Properties, Inc., announced the acquisition of The Shops at Salem Fields, a 44,900-square-foot Food Lion-anchored retail center at 7128 Salem Fields Blvd., in Fredericksburg, The property was purchased for $4.575 million. Eric Robison of Cushman & Wakefield Thalhimer represented Ziff Properties in the transaction.

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative Elects Board Members
Rappahannock Electric Cooperative elected new board members during their August 11, 2016, annual meeting. J. Mark Wood of Louisa was elected director from Region V, filling the position previously held by retiring director Frank B. Boxley. Three unopposed incumbents were re-elected to the board. They are Thomas T. Grady of Fauquier, Region II; Linda R. Gray of Caroline, Region VIII; and Michael W. Lindsay of Frederick, Region XI.

Ruby Tuesday Closing 95 Locations Nationwide
Ruby Tuesday Inc. announced it will close some 95 locations, or about 15 percent of its company-owned restaurants, by September. Ruby Tuesday reported that its total revenue fell 3.1 percent for the fiscal year that ended May 31, 2016. A store closing list has not been released. There are three stores in the Fredericksburg area. They are:
– Ruby Tuesday of Central Park, 2951 Plank Rd., Fredericksburg, 22401.
– Ruby Tuesday of South Fredericksburg, 4714 Mine Rd., Fredericksburg, 22408.
– Ruby Tuesday of Aquia, 2844 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Stafford, 22554.
