Evelyn White won the $10,000 Made in FredVA business startup competition on October 29, 2015, for her patent-pending Repo-Rocks, lightweight and decorative landscape rocks made from recycled plastics.

Johnna Hetrick’s Twila & Co. won the $500 people’s choice award. Twila & Co. partners with local businesses to create custom gift boxes filled with items from Fredericksburg businesses.

The two other competitors were:

Jerry Becker with Up | FXBG, a mobile-responsive website that allows users to post details about upcoming community events.

Mike Wood with Dogwood Lawns, offering an online marketplace where customers can book and pay for lawn-care services performed by local providers who are rated through the site.

Made in FredVA is sponsored by Next Generation of Business Leaders, a program of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce.
