6 Bears & A Goat Brewing Co. (6B&G), named for its founders and the mascots of their respective military services, is open.

The six bears are 20-year retirees from the U.S. Coast Guard, and the goat is a retiree from the U.S. Navy.

“While we are very serious about brewing beer, we want to have fun doing it, and our name is indicative of that,” the owners said on their website. “It is also indicative of the good-natured rivalry between the Navy and our Nation’s oldest continuous seagoing service, the United States Coast Guard.”

6B&G is offering six flagship beers, and seasonal beers. Snacks are available, prepared by their restaurant partners Joy Crump and Beth Black of FoodE and Mercantile in Fredericksburg. They will offer a full menu and table service, once the kitchen is completed later this spring.

6 Bears & A Goat Brewing Co. is located at 1140 International Pkwy., Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22406.

Opening hours are:
Thursday 4 – 8 p.m.
Friday 4 – 10 p.m.
Saturday 12 – 10 p.m.
Sunday 12 – 8 p.m.

Check their Facebook page for the live music schedule.
