With a fire in the kitchen, Chef’s Justin Cunningham and Raymond Renault, owners of Legume Kitchen and Bar, are mixing things up.
Vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians are seeing the love with a menu devoted to their needs. From the yellow doors at the front entry to the nice neat interior, everything about Legume is fresh and new.
The two owners may have picked up this aesthetic from their chef days working in Washington D.C.
Even with the big-city background, Justin and Raymond, prefer the small town charms of downtown Fredericksburg. “Downtown Fredericksburg is a small town with big culture,” they said. “It’s truly special.”
Legume is part of the new guard helping to make downtown Fredericksburg a hot culinary destination.
For Raymond, it’s in his blood. His father owns La Petite Auberge, another noted downtown Fredericksburg restaurant.
For Justin, it was love that brought him to Fredericksburg. When he met his now wife, he gladly moved to downtown Fredericksburg to pursue his two true loves – his beautiful wife and his passion for cooking.
Legume is a hot new destination in downtown Fredericksburg. Regardless of your dietary preference, everyone will fall in love with something on the menu.
Legume – another reason to #lovefxbg.
