Fredericksburg Area Builders Association (FABA) Reverse Raffle
Friday, Feb. 17, 7 – 9 p.m. at Fredericksburg Country Club, 11031 Tidewater Trail in Fredericksburg.
Proceeds with benefit the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association’s FAB Foundation, which provides assistance to the elderly people with housing needs. The reverse raffle is limited to 200 tickets; each ticket costs $100 and admits two people to the event. The first prize is $5,000, and winners do not need to be present to win. Healing Prayer Workshop
Friday, Feb. 17, 7 – 9 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 18, 9 – 4:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 825 College Ave., Fredericksburg, VA 22401
This workshop is focused on the ministry of healing prayer, and is for all levels of experience. The leader is the Rev. Bernard Poppe, rector of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Maplewood, New Jersey. There is no cost, but donations will be accepted to cover the cost of lunch on Saturday. Virginia Motor Trend International Auto Show

Hundreds of the hottest new cars and trucks will fill the Greater Richmond Convention Center for the 2017 Virginia Motor Trend International Auto Show.
Adults (13 and over) $10; Senior Citizens (62 and over) $5; Military (w/any DOD ID) $5; Children (12 and Under) FREE.

The Vagina Monologues
February 17, 18, 24, 25, 8 p.m. at Picker’s Alley Black Box Theatre, 902 Caroline St. second floor. Enter through the alley.
Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble presents “The Vagina Monologues.”
Admission is by donations at the door, with all proceeds directly to the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault (RCASA).

Washington’s Birthday Weekend at Mount Vernon

Celebrate George Washington’s birthday with a weekend of special events at his plantation home, Mount Vernon. Included are character performances, dancing demonstrations, book signings, story time, and much more.
February 18 and 19 events are included in admission. February 20 admission is free.

George Washington’s Birthday at Ferry Farm

Celebrate George Washington’s 285th birthday at his boyhood home with fun activities for the whole family, including games, crafts, exhibits, the Stone Throw Challenge (weather permitting), history theater, and birthday cake. “General Washington” will attend the birthday celebration to talk about his youth on the farm. Learn about the ongoing construction of the Washington house at Ferry Farm.
$5 adults; 17 and under free.

The Peanutman

This interactive children’s theater biography of George Washington Carver spotlights his determination and curiosity as a botanist and prolific inventor.

26th Annual Step Show and Competition
Saturday, Feb. 18, 7 p.m. in University of Mary Washington, Dodd Auditorium, George Washington Hall, 1301 College Ave, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Regional college and universities Greek step teams participate in this high-energy, entertaining, step show competition.

St. George’s Chamber Orchestra Concert

Archaeology Day at Ferry Farm
Monday, February 20, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m at Ferry Farm, 268 Kings Hwy., Fredericksburg, Virginia 22405
Hear firsthand from staff archaeologists about the 735,000 artifacts unearthed at George Washington’s boyhood home. Enjoy crafts, theater performances, presentations by Muraca the Magnificent – Guru of Glues, and behind-the-scenes visits to the archaeology laboratory. Tour the visitor center exhibits, and learn about the Washington house under construction.
Archaeology Day is a free event.
