VDOT plans smart roads hackathon

The Virginia Department of Transportation is hosting its next installment of the SmarterRoads Hackathon and Idea Jam series in Fredericksburg.

The two-day event will be held on Friday, September 28, through Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Germanna Community College’s FredCAT facility.

The event invites developers, planners, futurists and problem solvers to help address Virginia’s transportation needs through the use of open data sets, including VDOT’s SmarterRoads data portal.
