The Rappahannock Area Health District COVID-19 numbers this week have increased by about 20 each day. There are now 226 cases in the region.

Eileen Sousa with the Health Department says there is almost an equal distribution of cases among males and females, 49.8% of cases identifying as male and 50.2% of cases identifying as female.

Cases are being reported across the age spectrum with the majority of cases between persons aged 40 and 69.

31 people are currently being hospitalized for COVID-19.
