A 36 year old Spotsylvania man has been charged with a fatal hit-and-run. Police have charged Michael Ross in the death of Jason Ahinful in the early morning hours of March 8th on Plank Road. The victim was traveling on Plank Road on a moped when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the area before law enforcement arrived. During the investigation, police determined that Michael Ross was driving a 2015 Hyundai Genesis owned by an acquaintance. The Hyundai was recovered from a local body shop and seized by the Sheriff’s Office.
Ross was charged with Felony Hit and Run. He has not been located at this time and is believed to the in the DC area.
