The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office says a 36-year old suspect in a fatal hit and run has been arrested. Authorities say Michael Ross of Spotsylvania was arrested Thursday night by DC Marshals. Ross has been charged with the fatal hit and run of a moped driver in early March.
Jason Ahinful was on Plank Road early morning March 8th. Police say the victim was struck from behind by a vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the area before law enforcement arrived. During the investigation, authorities determined that Ross was driving a 2015 Hyundai Genesis owned by an acquaintance. The Hyundai was recovered from a local body shop and seized by the Sheriff’s Office. At the time of the incident, Police believed Ross had fled to DC.
