65 new COVID-19 cases in Rappahannock Area Health District

The Rappahannock Area Health District reports 32 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized. 65 new cases reported Saturday with 1,513 confirmed cases in the region.

Eileen Sousa with the Health District tells us the majority of cases are ages 20-49.

51.5% of cases identify as female and 48.5% of cases identify as male. The majority of cases continue to be adults aged 20-49 years old, however, we continue to receive cases among all age groups.

An 8th outbreak has been reported in the Health District. It took place in a small residential facility in which 4 staff and 2 residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
