VIDEO: Chatham Bridge closing–here’s how to get around

CHATHAM BRIDGE: The Route 3 Business bridge over the Rappahannock River will close starting at 5 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2020 for a major improvement project. The bridge will remain closed through October 2021, when it will reopen with new path for bicyclists and pedestrians, a smoother travel surface, and no vehicle weight posting. Signs will be unveiled by early Monday morning to guide motorists along the detour route on Route 3 Business, Blue and Gray Parkway, Dixon Street and Charles Street.Learn more at virginiadot.org/chathambridge
