Virginia State Police is seeking the public’s help with identifying the suspect and the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Caroline County early Wednesday.

At 5:28 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb 16) Virginia State Police responded to an individual lying in the roadway at Route 207 (Rogers Clark Boulevard) near Welcome Way, just west of Exit 104 off I-95.

The initial investigation indicates the individual was walking north across Route 207 from the Flying J to the Exxon when he was struck by a vehicle in the right lane of eastbound Route 207. The individual was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Troopers are working to identify the next of kin for the deceased.
