From Spotsylvania Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management:
Just after 6pm Sunday evening, our crews were dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire in the 7800-block of Tranquility Court. The first units arrived seven minutes after being dispatched, finding fire and smoke on the Charlie-side (back) of the home, quickly spreading into the second floor and through the attic. The crews deployed a hose line, entered the house, and began to put out the fire while searching for occupants. The fire was knocked down quickly, the search was negative, and it was confirmed that the occupants were not home at the time of the fire. Unfortunately, 3 dogs and one bird did perish in the fire.
