From Fredericksburg Main Street:

Fredericksburg, Virginia Main Street (FVMS) is excited to announce that Brendan Kelley has been selected by the Board of Directors as its new Executive Director. Brendan will be the second leader of the organization, following founding Executive Director, Ann Glave.

Currently the Executive Director of the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce (GACC) in Alma, MI, Brendan has over 13 years of nonprofit experience with 10 years of executive experience. Prior to his time with the GACC, he spent seven years as the Executive Director of the Ocean Grove Historic Preservation Society which preserved and enhanced the Jersey Shore Arts Center, formerly a late-Victorian era high school in Ocean Grove, NJ. Much of his work has been in economic and small business development, with significant experience in historic preservation. Brendan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mary Washington, and his Master’s of Public Administration from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.

Brendan shares that he is “very excited to join an organization with such a bright future. The positive energy around FVMS was apparent from my conversations with the board of directors and downtown business owners, as well as in the accomplishments of the organization. I hope to further strengthen the downtown and look forward to giving back to the Fredericksburg community that was so welcoming when I was a student at Mary Washington”.
