Work began May 2 to reconstruct the westbound right turn lane on Old Plank Road to Ashleigh Park Boulevard.

VDOT says the new offset turn lane will improve sight distance for left turns from Ashleigh Park Boulevard.

As part of the nearly $900,000 project, crews built a new sidewalk with a handicap-accessible ramp and made drainage improvements at the intersection.
