Kitty saved from CATastrophe in Stafford

by | Jul 10, 2022 | Police and Fire

From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:
Deputy K.L. Busch saved this 3 week old kitten, who is now named “Gremlin”, while on the job. Gremlin was first found by deputies during a case that was less then ideal. Barely crawling on the hot concrete with the 95 degree sun bearing down on her with no mother to care for her. When deputies brought her in, she was found to be very lethargic, very under weight, and extremely dehydrated. They all feared the worst, that she would not make it through the night.
Deputy Busch decided that would not happen. She offered to take the kitten home for the night and syringe feed her back to health. Deputy Busch did this for five days straight just to get Gremlin back to normal.
This adorable kitten has been living with Deputy Busch for a little over a week now. While there is still a long way to go for Gremlin, she now is a whole new girl with an amazing personality and a constant ball of energy.
We are so grateful that one of our own stepped up to the plate to save little Gremlin and give her the critical care she she needed. We thank you Deputy Busch for going above and beyond!
