VDOT is preparing to pour concrete for a new bridge deck on I-95 northbound over the Rappahannock River in the Fredericksburg area this week. It’ll carry 3 additional northbound lanes when it opens to traffic by spring 2024.
Expect delays at the bridge in the I-95 SOUTHBOUND through travel lanes this week on Monday-Thursday evenings, 9 p.m. – 10 a.m. (ending at 6 a.m. Friday morning) for the concrete pour. Lane closures are needed for equipment staging. Use the I-95 Southbound local lanes to bypass delays.
