Over the weekend the King George Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover operation based on information that tobacco stores in the county have been selling vape products to persons underage.

The operation involved deputies surveilling an undercover underage individual who entered the stores and attempted to purchase nicotine vapes without providing an ID.

The Sheriff’s Office said 4 out of the 5 stores investigated were charged and issued a summons for selling nicotine vapes to an underage person.
