Spotsy man arrested in Camelot subdivision with gun and drugs

A 34-year-old Spotsylvania man has been arrested on drug and gun charges.  The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Unit arrested Corey Sellers  following a search warrant which was executed by the Spotsylvania SWAT team in the Camelot subdivision.

Upon seeing the team, Sellers attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by members of SWAT team. Mr. Sellers attempting to rid himself of a firearm and narcotics. The ensuing search of Sellers’ person and the residence yielded a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, an estimated 100 pressed fentanyl pills, and 12 grams of suspected cocaine.

Sellers was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a scheduled I/II substance (3rd or subsequent), possession of a firearm while possessing with intent to distribute a scheduled I/II substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and felony possession of a concealed weapon.

Sellers was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
