Spotsylvania Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management says on Sunday, shortly after noon, crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire in the 11000-block of Meadowlark Lane. On arrival, personnel found a significant amount of smoke, with a large volume of fire on the back of the home.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames, conducted a search, and subsequently extinguished the remaining fire that was present in the impacted areas of the home.
No occupants were injured during the incident, but one firefighter did sustain a minor injury as a result of the fire ground operations. Two adults and one dog were temporarily displaced as a result of the fire, and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
