VDOT says Northbound Interstate 95 travelers near Fredericksburg will encounter delays with overnight full traffic stops scheduled this week to advance work on the 95 Express Lanes Fredericksburg Extension project.
Starting at midnight, Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9, crews will stop all I-95 northbound traffic up to 30 minutes at a time at exit 133 (Route 17) and exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) in Stafford County.
Weather permitting, the following lane closures have been scheduled to begin tomorrow night, June 7 and repeat until early Friday:
- 9 p.m. – Single lane closure
- 10 p.m. – Double lane closure
- Midnight – 3 a.m. – Intermittent full traffic stops up to 30 minutes
- 4:30 a.m. – All I-95 northbound lanes open
