The Stafford Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire in the 100 block of Hope Springs Lane. Stafford Fire and Rescue Chief Joesph Cardello says just after 11am on Thursday crews responded for a reported structure fire. First arriving units arrived less than 10 minutes later, reporting heavy fire from multiple sides of a two story, single family residence. Crews brought the fire under control in approximately an hour.
Chief Cardello says the occupants of the residence were able to evacuate prior to the arrival of units, none reported injuries. One firefighter was transported for evaluation of non-life threatening injuries. The four occupants of the residence are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
Units were assisted on scene by Quantico Fire and Emergency Services.
