VDOT says the intersection of Route 608 (Benchmark Road) and Route 636 (Mine Road) in Spotsylvania County will be closed from Monday, Oct. 2-Friday, Oct. 13.
Both roads must be closed to through traffic at the intersection to allow a utility provider, Kinder Morgan, to repair a pipeline in this area. This closure was scheduled to occur in September but was postponed to provide more time for the permit holder to obtain the required detour signs.
