From the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank:
We have special distributions throughout the upcoming week and we need your help to spread the word to those who can benefit from these free, supplemental groceries. Please share this news with others so that these distributions can serve their purpose of providing help to many families who may otherwise not be able to access food.
Our distributions get started on Monday, October 23 with a 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. distribution at Dunning Mills Inn (1150 Dunning Mills Road, Fredericksburg).
Then, on Tuesday, October 24, thanks to our partnership with Spotsylvania Parks Recreation, we will be at Keswick Park (7710 Folkstone Drive, Spotsylvania Courthouse) from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Our fresh market distributions emphasize fresh produce among the food offered and our first fresh market of the week will be on Wednesday, October 25 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Fredericksburg Christian Health Center (1129 Heatherstone Drive, Fredericksburg).
Another fresh market will be held on Thursday, October 26 from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the River Club (10825 Tidewater Trail, Fredericksburg) and that is sandwiched between two walk-up distributions that same day. We will be at the Fredericksburg Department of Social Services (675 Jackson Street, Fredericksburg) from 12:15 – 1:45 p.m. and at Overlook Terrace Apartments (4540 Lookout Lane, Fredericksburg) from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
We have two more fresh markets on Friday, October 27, with one from 10:00 a.m. – noon at Hematology-Oncology Associates of Fredericksburg (4501 Empire Court, Fredericksburg) and one from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Downtown Greens Inc. (206 Charles Street, Fredericksburg).
We round out the week with a final distribution at Zion of Fred (2222 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg) from 10:00 a.m. – noon on Saturday, October 28.
